K-12 Education
Oct 04, 2016
This is one article in a series that highlights each of the four “strands” or themes that all 2016 Summit exhibits and sessions fall under: Early Education, K-12 Education, Higher Education and Workforce & Business.
The large collection of sessions and exhibits in this Strand will highlight classroom-based as well as out-of-school time practices that have evidence to support their impact on either students or teachers. Sessions and exhibits will cover a wide range of topics, including standards, partnerships, diversity, interests, achievement, and workforce readiness. Presenters/exhibitors will be coming from communities across the state, from Cape Cod to the Berkshires, and represent the many different community types we have in the Commonwealth.
K-12 sessions and exhibits will allow attendees to connect to a variety of stakeholders including representatives of the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, managers of in- and out-of-school time programs, and in some cases, student participants. Many presentations will include multiple perspectives highlighting how business and education, K-12 and higher education, and in-school and out-of-school sectors might work together.
