STEM Partnerships: How Schools and Museums Can Prepare Students for Success

Presented by: EcoTarium (Museum of Science and Nature)

This exhibit is for K-12 schools administrators who are interested in learning how museums and school districts can partner to facilitate meaningful STEM-focused afterschool or summer school programs. The EcoTarium has formed a successful partnership with Worcester Public Schools at the elementary, middle, and high school level to help students engage in meaningful explorations that are aligned with the disciplinary core ideas, cross-cutting concepts, and science and engineering practices outlined in the current state science standards. Experience sample curriculum  activities and see how we pair science content with a related engineering design challenge so that students must use their knowledge of scientific phenomena to design successful solutions.
