Presented by: Merrimack College

Strand:

What can colleges do to recruit students for STEM majors and careers? How can we build both interest and STEM skills to enable K-12 students to reach their goals? This exhibit will highlight two programs: one is an early college program with Lawrence High School which has a STEM pathway of three courses, including an innovative Introduction to Engineering class. The other is STEM outreach by freshman college students to Girl Scouts. This exhibit will include program descriptions, curriculum maps, photographs, quotes and evaluation data about the two programs.
