Independent Student Research Projects, Exciting Showcase/Competitions & Mini Grants for Your School

Presented by: Massachusetts Science & Engineering Fair (MSEF)

Meet middle and high school students who are eager to discuss their scientific research findings and engineering design innovations. Learn about resources and grants to help your school/district offer students the opportunity to investigate a meaningful question in-depth, guided by a STEM mentor. Discover why so many MSEF alumni refer to their independent research and science fair participation as “a life-forming experience,” one that “allowed me to go to college,” and with hindsight, realize that “I was constructing my future.”

MSEF programs enable teachers to bring the professional practices of working scientists and engineers right into their classrooms and beyond. No new curricula or materials are required. Teacher professional development, student mentoring, grants for schools and other resources are available. MSEF’s programs are free to students and schools.
