Building foundational skills in Global STEM Classroom® at DYHS

We invite all K-12 educators, parents and students to our exhibit to learn about the Global STEM program in our high school successfully run since 2011 in collaboration with high schools in the UK, Netherlands, Russia, France, Norway, Mexico, Ukraine. “The 21st-century workforce is global, highly connected, technology-savvy, and demanding” (Deloitte). The main objectives/takeaways: you will learn: (a) how our program is mapped to Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks; (2) the results of students' work on "Nanotechnology", “NASA Space Exploration”, “Renewable Energy” , “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, BIG Data” (3) how students in this program develop 4C’ Skills (critical and creative thinking, collaboration, communication) and global competencies, (4) how Global STEM PBL and design thinking is embedded into the program; (5) promising results showing great benefits to both students' learning and educators' professional development based a preliminary evaluation by David Square Research Associates and (6) how you can bring Global STEM into your school.
